About Me

Hey Y'all

I have a passion for all things EMS, a deep appreciation for the outdoors, and a borderline dependency on good coffee.

My EMS career began at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where I helped launch UIC EMS, the only student-run collegiate EMS agency in the Midwest with a transporting BLS ambulance at the time. That experience laid the foundation for what’s become a dynamic career in prehospital care and education.

I’ve taught across multiple EMT and paramedic programs, and recently served as Paramedic Program Director, Critical Care Education Coordinator, and ASLS Training Center Coordinator at Loyola University Medical Center—an EMS Resource Hospital and statewide leader since 1975—and I was proud to contribute to that legacy.

I currently work as a flight paramedic with experience in both ground, fixed-wing, and rotor-wing critical care transport, delivering high-acuity care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients.

I’m also the founder of Emergency Education Associates, a company dedicated to strengthening EMS instruction through consulting, certification training, and program development.

Whether I’m flying patients, mentoring new providers, or building better educational tools, I’m committed to pushing EMS forward.

My Skills

Every Day is a New Challenge—And That’s Why I Show Up

With over a decade of experience across EMS, critical care, and flight medicine, I bring a depth of clinical knowledge and instructional expertise to every role I take on. My background includes high-acuity prehospital care, rotor and fixed-wing critical care transport, and a strong foundation in simulation-based education and curriculum development.

As the former Paramedic Program Director for Loyola Medicine, I led the design and delivery of nationally accredited paramedic training programs, overseeing everything from didactic instruction to clinical site coordination and accreditation compliance. I worked closely with medical directors, faculty, and advisory boards to align curriculum with current evidence-based practice and evolving system needs.

My mission is to push the boundaries of what’s expected in EMS—whether that means raising the bar for paramedic education, improving patient outcomes through precise, high-quality care, or mentoring the next wave of providers. I collaborate across disciplines, using my background in medical education to guide paramedic students, medical students, and residents alike through high-fidelity scenarios and real-world challenges.

I thrive in complex systems, fluid situations, and high-stakes environments—and I never stop looking for ways to improve both the patient experience and provider education.
