About Me

Hey Y'all

I have a passion for all things EMS, and may things outdoors and plenty of things coffee.

I got my start in EMS at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where I was one of the original founding members of UIC EMS, which was the only collegiate student-run EMS agency with a transporting BLS ambulance in the midwest. Since then, I've gone on to teach at various EMT programs. Recently, I served as the Paramedic Program Director, Critical Care Education Coordinator, and Advanced Stroke Life Support Training Center Coordinator, at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood. LUMC has been an EMS Resource Hospital since 1975, and is a leader in EMS in the state of Illinois.

When I'm not teaching, or working with patients, you can find me traveling and trying to find a new spot to eat.

My Skills

Every Day is a New Challenge

With over seven years of experience as a certified and licensed paramedic, instructor, and leader, I bring a wealth of knowledge and skills in clinical skills, emergency medicine, critical care, and simulation training.

As a Paramedic Program Director at Loyola Medicine, I oversaw the development and delivery of high-quality paramedic education programs that prepared students for the challenges and opportunities of emergency medical services.

My mission is to foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and improvement in the paramedic field, and to contribute to the advancement of public safety and health outcomes. I collaborate with diverse stakeholders, such as medical directors, faculty, staff, students, and community partners, to design and implement evidence-based curricula, policies, and practices that meet the highest standards of accreditation and quality. I also leverage my expertise in medical education to support and mentor the next generation of paramedics, medical students, and resident physicians.
